The inaugural opening of Palike Bazaar, Bengaluru's first underground air-conditioned market in Vijayanagar, took place on Sunday. The market is situated next to the Metro station and bus stand. This establishment, which is the first underground market in South India, is reportedly inspired by Delhi's Palika Bazaar. Another noteworthy development in Bengaluru is the approval of the Tunnel Road project to alleviate the city's notorious traffic congestion. This ambitious project involves an 18-kilometre twin-tube tunnel from Hebbal Flyover to the Central Silk Board Junction, featuring five entry and exit points. However, it will be some time before residents of Bengaluru can benefit from this infrastructure upgrade.
